These positions are eligible for a $3,000 retention bonus

($500 paid after 6 months, the remainder after 12 months)

Substance Use Supervisor

Position Summary:

This position works with the Manager of Substance Use Services in providing program and clinical supervision of staff, program development/management and supporting our internal and external relationships with care systems related to the provision of substance use services to clients.


Bachelor's degree in human services related field required, including course work in adolescent development. Must hold a valid license for an Alcohol and Drug Counselor from the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy and Rule 25 Certification required. At least 5 years' experience in the field of substance use disorders that includes experience in the delivery of adolescent substance use treatment, cognitive behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing and working with co-occurring disorders required.  Minimum two years of direct experience with supervision preferred.  Experience working with Court Services, Social Services and Managed Care Networks and Electronic Health Record systems required.  Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations preferred.  This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require use for traveling between offices and clients.  May also provide occasional use for transporting clients.  Requires ability to maintain a clean driving record, a current driver's license, and auto insurance coverage meeting Canvas Health policy limits.  Use of a cell phone is required for this position.
